: Konyag, unlike his brother, has to work under difficult conditions. The brother is only surprised at the stability of Konyagi - you won’t pass him by anything.
Konyaga’s life is not easy, all that is in her is hard everyday work. That work is tantamount to hard labor, but for Konyagi and the owner, this work is the only opportunity to earn a living. True, he was lucky with the owner: a man doesn’t beat in vain, when it’s really hard - he supports with a shout. He lets out a skinny horse to graze on the field, but Konyaga uses this time to rest and sleep, despite painfully stinging insects.
For all, nature is the mother, for him alone she is a scourge and torture. Every manifestation of her life reflects on him with torment, every bloom with poison.
Past the dormant Konyag pass his relatives. One of them, Pustoplyas, is his brother. Konyag father had a hard fate for his uncouthness, and the polite and respectful Pustoplyas was always in a warm stall, fed not with straw but with oats.
Pustoplyas looks at Konyaga and wonders: there is nothing to penetrate him. It would seem that already the life of Konyaga should end from such labor and food, but no, Konyaga continues to pull the heavy yoke that befell him.
