Before us is again a song with deep meaning - “A Walk on the Water” by Nautilus Pompilius. It's time to get acquainted with the biblical characters, or rather with Jesus Christ, in the song - the Savior, and his disciple - the apostle Andrew.
Why exactly Andrey? In the Bible, he is called the First-Called, i.e. that disciple whom Jesus first accepted to himself. This means that he has a greater responsibility than the rest of the followers of the Savior. It is him in the song that Jesus calls to go with him this difficult path. And now in more detail. Do not rush to close the article, because everything that is sung here concerns everyone.
Apostle Andrew catches minnows at the pier, and the Savior walks on the water and takes people out of it. What does this immediately mean? This shows the insignificance of the activities of Andrew (it does not mean anything, does not contribute to the salvation of mankind) and the importance of the mission of Jesus Christ (for that he and the Savior).
And Jesus called Andrew for himself, called to go next to him and together pull people out of the sinful pool. It is only necessary to pass a difficult test: to hang on the Cross, on which the Savior himself once hung in agony for all people. Only after this the apostle will see the world through the eyes of Heaven. And the Cross is an atonement for your sins.
And what did Andrei see in this? Overwork, pain. He felt fear, he did not want to make such sacrifices, he wanted to understand everything at once, without doing anything. But Andrei, as the first disciple, vowed to follow Jesus and do His will ... The Savior was very disappointed in his disciple, who had to go home, taking only the minnows he caught.
What can this “parable" tell us all? Put yourself in the place of the apostle. He did not want to go to the Cross, which for us - did not want to make efforts to achieve the goal. If we only trust in God, wait for the weather by the sea (as you wish), while not trying to do something on our own, we will end up with nothing. Pescaras are a kind of those small “accomplishments” of whom the life of a person who follows the “easy” path is composed.
Maybe I will rediscover America for someone (this is sometimes useful), but there are no easy ways. And whoever found him, so congratulations, but this is not life. Anyone who walks along this smooth path so unconstrainedly does not achieve anything in the end; great achievements are alien to him.
If suddenly there is such a person among the readers, remember: at the end of your journey there will be either a gulf, or a dead end, or a stone that you will trip over and suddenly hit your head, you will realize everything ... But it will be too late. Do not like any of the options? So act, your Cross is prepared for everyone, do not bypass it.
